Otis McAllister CEO Royce Nicolaisen was honored by Volunteers for InterAmerican Development Assistance (VIDA) in Lima, Peru this past April at the 21st Annual VIDA Black Tie GALA. The 2012 VIDA Peru Outstanding United States Volunteer Award honored Mr. Nicolaisen and Otis McAllister for its ongoing support and collaboration with VIDA.
Since 2010, Otis McAllister has sponsored eight ocean containers carrying nearly nine million dollars of medical supplies and equipment to Latin American countries including Chile, Mexico and Peru.
“It was such an honor to be recognized by VIDA. They are a very important partner for Otis McAllister,” said Nicolaisen.
“Their work in Latin America supports the neediest and most vulnerable populations and it is a privilege to work with them.”
“It is clear that Otis McAllister has an abiding belief in giving back to the markets they operate in. Royce and Otis McAlister are a beacon of light to people in need and serve as a shining example for individual and corporate philanthropy,” said VIDA Executive Director Adam See.
The event was a smash success with over 700 guests, dinner and dancing to a lively 20 piece orchestra. Many thanks to VIDA for this great honor!
